This particular episode in your Rethinking the Nativity series was my favorite. I'd never heard about the symbolism of the gifts in that way before. It was a timely episode for me. Great stuff.
Thank you for letting me know. Personally, I felt like this grew my testimony quite a bit when I first learned about it. I can't say I believe every detail in every apocryphal text (far from it), but knowing that being a prophet, priest, and king was the symbolism among the early Christians was like knowing the OT laws were foreshadowing Christ and the atonement. And Joseph had zero access to any of those resources that now support his revelations.
