Thank you - I had a chance discussion about it and thought it might be another important tool to discuss on the podcast - hope I didn’t ramble too much.
The Lord hears my prayers and I see it in action daily. This podcast brought tears to my eyes. A gem I have searched for years. I give ALL glory to God for bringing me this podcast. Blessings and thank you for this.
I'm glad it was helpful - I'm never sure where I fall on any of LCW's teachings until I investigate them further. One FLDS woman recorded that she was telling some friends something LCW had taught and he happened to be walking in the room behind her and corrected her, saying, that wasn't quite what I said. She remarked that he was very hard to quote because he spoke so precisely ... another challenge for the historian! haha
I believe it was Bertrand Russell who said that you can never trust the recounting of a fool because he will translate whatever he heard to something he can understand. That's a rude way of saying it ... but that dynamic is in effect when the person who is teaching is more intelligent than the persons recording and recounting the teaching.
I really enjoyed this talk, super interesting. Thanks, Drew!
