That makes sense. I did here as I've been listening that it was referenced as a title or position or calling.

So you do you think that Adam has held the position as Michael? I'm also very curious to here your thoughts on who Lucifer is or was in the pre-existence? I think He might have been Adam or our Father's brother. Possibly older brother.

Joseph Smith taught that Adam was Michael the archangel. D&C 107:54 identifies him as such.

The temple endowment teaches that Lucifer was Adam's brother, but in what sense, we are not specifically informed. Because various Mormon restorationists believe that Adam was immortal and exalted before the fall, that suggests Lucifer was as well and indeed, we find several passages making that claim. However, because many restorationists don't believe Adam was immortal and that Lucifer was only a spirit, the idea that either of them had bodies before coming to earth is disputed. We can find some of Joseph's teachings and scriptures to support this position as well.

I am not aware of any ancient texts where Michael is Jesus Christ. I would be really surprised if I found one. Usually, there is no connection made between Michael and Adam, which we might expect in Mormonism, but often, there are strong parallels. If we consider the name as a title, that isn't overly surprising one way or another.
