I should note ... since I failed to mention it in the podcast, that the intriguing question that comes from this symbolism is this: if the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil represents the teachings of Lucifer or Satan, then what was it that he taught Adam and Eve that resulted in their fall? Sure - we can argue that the Fall happened because of God's previous decree - but I'm ignoring that for now. The more interesting question is: what did he teach them? and how did that make them discover their nakedness? and convince them that fig leaves were a good solution for that (note that they only had aprons, not tank tops)? The Hebrews had answers for all of these questions, though the early brethren seem to have been fairly quiet about these questions.
